Ever feel like you’re just running on a hamster wheel that never stops? The elusive quest for balance and then at the end of it all you’re just exhausted. That’s why I started The Zen Mom in the first place, to help moms and women find solutions to juggle it all. In the baby years, it was just trying to get enough sleep, keep it all together and do what’s best for baby.
Now that my kids are 4 and 5, my journey has shifted a bit, it’s more about watching them grow and develop as people and rediscovering myself at the same time. But each day is different, there are highs and lows. One day I’m rockin it, others I’m overwhelmed.
Every mom I talk to whether working or not, seems to go through their own struggles of trying to juggle their priorities. Whether it’s maintaining your career, trying to be there for you kids and guide them in the right direction, keeping the house in order, or staying healthy and still having enough energy to be a fun and loving wife/person.
What I’ve learned is, whatever stage your at, eventually it all seems to work out in the end, right? Then you’re onto the next stage and all you have left are the memories. Remember when you were obsessed with giving birth, or maybe it was sleep training, now it’s adjusting to Kindergarten or maintaining your career.
If you knew then what you know now, right? I’m just at the beginning of my motherhood journey and still have a lot to learn. I find that the best wisdom comes from those who have gone through it already-we just have to be ready to listen.
That’s why I’m super excited to share Marci Fair’s book TILT -7 Solutions To Be A Guilt Free Working Mom. She’s working mother of 4, who encourages moms keep their dreams as they teach their kids to reach for dreams of their own.
Marci not only shares her stories and offers solutions and insight, but gives practical tips from 80 other women who have all been there too. It’s more than a parenting book, but a tribute to our journey as moms, but not forgetting our journey as women.
I’m honored to have my testimonial featured in her book as well.
It retails for about $18, but thru thursday on Kindle it’s only $.99.
Her goal is to help 10,000 moms and raise $10,000 for her children’s charity, Kares 4 Kids.
Check it out!
