What you’ll need:
(makes 2 smoothies)
1 cup of plain organic yogurt
1 Banana sliced
1/2 cup Pineapple juice
Studies have shown that eating foods rich in B Vitamins and Calcium can help relieve PMS symptoms. Yogurt helps balance your calcium levels and help with mood and bloating. Bananas have B vitamins which can help regulate blood sugar and help your mood and is also a good source of potassium and fiber-which is good for PMS. Pineapple Juice-has the enzyme Bromelain and can help with cramps by relaxing muscles. Cinnamon-a great cure all, gives it a little spice and is good for mood swings. Pumpkin Seeds have Zinc which can ease cramps, and vitamin E to help reduce inflammation.
Just blend all ingredients together. Use frozen bananas, if you use room temperature bananas just add ice. Top with a pinch of cinnamon and some pumpkins seeds.
PS If you want your husband to drink it -you probably don’t want to call it a PMS smoothie. How about A Tropical Spice Smoothie!
