In our latest “When Zen Meets Fab” Spreecast we tackled a topic for women that never seems to go away-Can Women Have It All? This debate reignited by the announcement that former Google exec Marissa Mayer was named Yahoo’s new CEO who is also 6 months pregnant. Making her the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 company and first women to be hired as CEO pregnant. But what caused even more of a stir was that she said, she plans to only take a few weeks maternity leave and work through it.
First of all, should we even be asking this question? Why is this landmark being met with so much skepticism. If it was a male CEO about to have a baby would it even matter? So many of us are saying you go girl! But many are also saying-Is she crazy? What about the baby? What do you think?
