Working from home, wasn’t it supposed to make our lives easier?  So we can have more time to be there for our kids and still manage to have a career or focus on other things.   Well turns  out it may not be as easy as it looks, but know you are not alone.  We are all trying to juggle work/life balance and find what works for us.     I wanted to share my latest Lifetime Moms video where I talked a few work at home moms from founders of Breezy Mama, to  Mel, A Dramatic Mommy, to San Diego Momma, and Miss Priss about their frustrations and tips.

Lifetime Moms Video-Work At Home Mom Confessions and Tips

I’ve been doing a lot of research and interviewing everyone from life coaches to entrepreneurs on the topic and found 3 Zen Tips that seem to keep coming up.

1.  Give Yourself Zenspiration Time-Set aside some time prior to working to get focused and clear on what you want to accomplish this will give you more clarity and ultimately allow you to get more done.

2.  Make A Priority List.  List the top 3-4 things (what ever you can handle) you want to accomplish that day and focus on those.   Don’t put too many things on the list or you will feel defeated when you can’t check everything off.

3.  Don’t Let Email Dictate Your Day.-  Do your priority list first then set aside time to respond to email.   That way you have control over your schedule and don’t waste hours just staring at your computer and feel like you got nothing accomplished.

What tips do you have? What works for you?

  1. I love making lists–it’s the only way I can remember to get anything done. & Crossing things off my to-do list feels really good!
